  1. THANK YOU for watching!! Just a note, the reason these recipes are gluten free is because Tom has found that pasta (and chocolate) trigger headaches and migraines, so we try to avoid pasta, but still consume other forms of gluten 🙂 And we'd love it if you shared your favorite Instant Pot recipes, it is always nice to have new things to try!!! Thank you!! 🙂 Find the recipes & detailed instructions here: https://www.ithinkwecouldbefriends.com/2019/03/08/5-easy-whole-food-instant-pot-recipes/

  3. Hi just found your Chanel and looking at some of your videos. I’m from UK and have Pressure king pro it sit in cupboard because I have no idea what to cook in it. Will be trying some of your recipes. Thank you.

  4. Since humans are carnivores it's kind of a shame that you force a child to go against his nature and eat useless grasses with antinutrients that are harmful to people. Don't take my word for it… research it yourself. Antinutrients in vegetables especially leafy greens…bad.

  5. i own 3 instant pots, my favorite soup is zuppa toscana (olive garden recipe with sliced potatoes and a bit of heavy cream, kale added after pressure cooking). after a holiday ham, I'll use the excess to make batches of split pea and ham soup, navy bean and ham soup, and left over augratin potatoes get turned into a potato, ham and cheese soup. all get put into ziploc freezer bags to eat down the road. my wife loves my use of the instant pot. Boeuf bourginion and pot roast are hits when i cook for a crowd of 12.

  6. I'll bet your meals are great. The food blogger best way of things is seldom really the best or even discernably better than what real people do to get families fed. I love your whole foods and gentle vegetable persuasion!

  7. Great job with the veggies mom!! Have you ever tried serving the kids sweet potatoe with butter and brown sugar? It's sweet and creamy. My daughter can't get enough. Can I ask why you are dairy free? Thank you! #loveyourvideos! Your speed of taking is perfect!

  8. We cook greens in ours also. 2lbs collards or kale will fit, just squish them down in. 1c water and Manual 11 min for hardy greens (collards, chard, turnip or mustard greens) 6min for kale then QR. Baby greens, dandelion & beet greens or spinach just set timer to ZERO with 1/2c water, they have so much water on them they need no more. QR when timer sounds. We season ours when we eat them as some we use in smoothies. I also add readymade cooked to dishes thruout the week. Its great to have them in the fridge waiting. I cook greens about twice weekly, 2lbs each time.
    Eat GREENS, Not Grains!

  10. Spaghetti
Use a chub pound pack of sausage instead of hamburger to change it up. Brown on Sauté, add 1t salt, some pepper and chopped veggies (we use onions, green peppers, garlic), maybe mushrooms and then your sauce—30oz. We add a 15oz can of diced tomatoes too. Add a can or jar of water to your sauce container and stir well. Add in 1/2lb of pasta of your choice if youre using wholewheat. If its spaghetti, you can use 2/3 of a lb, but macaroni or rotini or penne, etc use only 1/2lb. If youre using refined “white” flour pasta I think its a pound. Stir in pasta and submerge by pushing under liquid. Use Manual for 5-6 min (half the time needed to boil the pasta on the stove). NR for about 15 min and then release steam left. You could cook your sauce first longer (say half an hr to get that simmered all day taste) then NR to get lid off and add in pasta to cook it. The pasta can never cook more than 5 or 6 min or it will be mush. Rice pasta gets only about 3 min.
    Tacos (double recipe for leftovers)
Brown 1 1/2lb hamburger on Sauté, add chopped onion, green pepper or celery and garlic. Add 1-2t salt, some pepper and your taco seasonings. Also stir in 2-15oz cans of petite diced tomatoes and 2-15oz cans of drained pintos or kidney beans. Use Manual for 15 min then NR for 15 min and release rest of steam. We do Taco Bowls with rice too, besides eating it in corn tortillas.
    Salsa Chicken
Put 6-8 skinned, bone-in thighs in the pot on a bed of chopped celery. Dump a 15oz jar on salsa on top, add 1/4c water or broth. Manual for 14 min and NR 10 min then release steam. Serve w/baked potatoes or rice to put the sauce over. A salad is good too or hot veggies. Use the leftover liquid to cook rice or grits with for another meal.

So now theres some “not chicken stock” recipes lol

  11. I love how easy the instant pot is to use. I use mine every day. I do not peel potatoes anymore. The instant pot cooks them so soft you don't even know they are there but the nutrients are retained. Saves time just give the potatoes a good scrub.

  12. I do a lot of Dutch oven cooking. I saw you have a Dutch oven, too. Is the real advantage of the Instant Pot over Dutch ovens that it's faster? It seems like you can do everything else in the Dutch oven as you can in the Dutch oven.

  14. My husband and Mines favorite recipe for our pressure cooker is lemon chicken. I use olive oil, chicken tenders, onion, garlic, lemon, of course, chicken broth, salt pepper, and paprika.

  15. Just curious. Have you ever tried not peeling the potatoes. I like to leave my skins on my potatoes generally because the skins have a lot of nutrients. Also I am moving to Minnesota soon.
