  2. I'm not a fan of the mushroom dish because I hate mushrooms, but I have to admit, these are some really interesting dishes. I'm really intrigued by the carrot cake dish and chocolate dish. Totally going to try these! Love the tip on the frozen cherries too!

  3. I've been looking for savory oatmeal recipes. I used to eat oats everyday and pretty much exactly the same way (just plain oats with some fresh fruit, cinnamon, and a drizzle of honey on top) and it got boring. I still enjoy it once in a while, but now I rarely eat them. I'm totally going to try the carrot cake oats and the savory mushroom oats soon. Thanks.

  4. I absolutely loved these creative recipes and l definitely try them out!💕 but I have to say it was really distracting that you look so much like a character called Kara from a video game called Detroit: Become Human 😂😂

  7. Wow, some of those savoury oatmeal dishes seem like typical rice porridge, just that rice is replaced by oats. Since I find oats to be simpler and quicker to cook than rice, I'll definitely try these recipes! Thanks for the inspiration.

  8. The savory one sound delicious! I sometimes make a very simple savory oatmeal dish with olive oil, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese.
I also make veggie oatmeal burgers using dry oats! I make a thick mash of any veggie or mix of veggies – either cook and mash them with a fork or put raw veggies in a food processor and mash them that way (I usually use eggplant and I cook it in the microwave). You should have about 1&1/2 cups of veggie mash – to that you add 1&1/2 cups of dry rolled oats and to that you add spices to taste. I typically add a little bit of garlic and onion powder and about a teaspoon of soy sauce. Wait 10 mins to allow the oats to absorb some of the moisture from the veggies – make sure your mix is not too dry or too wet otherwise the burgers won't hold together (add a little water if too dry and more oats if too wet). Form the burgers – this recipe should make about 4 or 5 burgers depending on the size you make them. You can bake them, but I like to flip them in a skillet because the outer surface gets a little crusty. Let them cool a bit before eating. I like to put them in a bun and add a little A1 steak sauce on top. You can also freeze the burgers.

  9. I like quickcook instant oatmeal… gives a smoother texture. My basic savory meal is just 3 items:
    instant oatmeal
    white pepper (lots of it)
Maggi seasoning soy sauce (square bottle)

I can top with sliced sausage/meatloaf/fried dpam or add seafood like scallops and mussels and squid and a then some cilantro. Just so many good choices.

  10. Great savory ideas…would add cilantro for garnishing ..,we make these in Indian cuisine..add grated coconut…unsweetened..plenty of dry roasted peanuts….adding textures and flavors. Enjoy. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
