  1. Now I would love to snack on these. However I have an incredibly high metabolism and require a significant amount of calories per day so I need calorie dense meat jerky as a snack. BUT! These look amazing as flavor enhancers for soups or to throw in with my meat jerky. I love mushrooms and I will definitely be trying this!

  2. I'd like a jerky style food I can use as a treat for my dog that will make her chew, a lot. Something to use in place of those rawhide bones or rawhide twists. They really do help her keep her teeth clean but I'd rather make it myself and make it without toxins or animals. Not crisp, but very tough jerky texture. Hope this works, or if you can find a recipe that does. Thanks.

  3. I'm really excited to make this. If I end up liking it, I'll have something to send some friends and family who try to follow plant based lifestyle 🙂

Also tip for me personally I would mix those ingredients first and then toss the Mushrooms in them.

  4. I used a bag of dried shiitake pieces and had some left over after rehydrating (too much to put on my oven trays) and I just sauteed them up in a nonstick pan and holy smokes were they delicious. They would be excellent in a stir fry, fried rice, or a pasta carbonara.

  5. Not gonna lie, I ain't vegan but not being from the US Jack Links is so expensive and hard to find that I would love to try the one you made. Pretty much every dish Mark makes looks tasty on its own merits.

  6. The world would be a better place if you could keep doing what you’re doing whilst boycotting Amazon at the same time. It’s kind of a contradiction to what you’re trying to achieve if you’re using amazon in the process. Amazon, and Jeff, is/are the devil and is destroying the planet. I’d rather eat meat than buy any ingredients off Amazon in an attempt to not eat meat!

  7. Dis somebody tried using lemon or lime instead of lactic acid? How did the taste came out? And also is 60 degrees celcius in the dehydrator the correct setting? Thanks!

  9. Thank you so much for Sharing the recipe . I picked A lots of morale mushrooms and made Jackie yesterday it’s delicious and I love it . Going to send them to my son because he has been brought them from supermarket. Since my land have so much all kind of the mushrooms and why not make it. Thank you again

  10. I made these and they were awesome. I used the dried mushroom mix from Costco. Though I have to say, they tasted chewier and better then next day. If you make them try them same day but they are best when they sit for 24 hours or later the texture becomes perfect. Thanks so much!
