  1. This one didn't go down well in our household. The big complaint was the texture of the cheese which was very grainy and eggy.

    It really needs a proper bechemel sauce with some proper flavour.

    Sorry Chef John but this is not one of the better lasagnas I've eaten.

  2. Wow!!! I made this with all ground beef and all of the mentioned fresh cheeses and it was without a doubt the best Lasagna I have eaten in my life! And this was the first Lasagna I have ever made. My sister has made Lasagna for years for our family gatherings and I have eaten Lasagna at fine Italian restaurants as well. And I still stick to my claim as this one being THE BEST LASAGNA I have ever had. Ingredients matter. If you're going to go to the trouble and expense of making this Lasagna, do yourself a favor and go that extra mile. Buy the good fresh soft mozzarella, reggiano parmigiano, a nice quality marinara sauce and whole milk ricotta cheese. The results will speak for itself! I bought a nice Pfaltzgraff Lasagna pan prior to searching and finding this extraordinary recipe. Thank you very much Chef John for this amazing recipe. If I could attach photos I would be happy to.
