  3. Would like to caution about regular consumption of cocoa. Cocoa is high in oxalates, and high-oxalate foods cause kidney stones in some people when consumed regularly in large quantities. I used to add cocoa power (one spoonful) to my morning oat cereals (along with plant-based milk, berries and flaxseed powder), but after reading about the oxalate issue, I reduced my cocoa consumption to 1/2 spoon and use only on alternate days. There is no concrete reason for the amount I use now, just wanted to reduce it is 50 mg or lower and 50 mg or lower total oxalate per day is recommended for high-risk individuals (one teaspoon, about 7 grams, contains 100 mg of oxalate). Not eating any animal protein is a plus for you, as animal protein (especially red meat) is implicated in formation of kidney stones (as animal proteins increase the formation of uric acid, which can cause kidney stones). Other foods that are high in oxalates are beetroot and spinach, so those need to be consumed in moderation.
